10th Year Anniversary Celebration

In August 2005 Warm House Orphanage, (Tiplo Dom) celebrated it's 10 year anniversary with a reception and entertainment at a local theater. The event was funded by 10 sponsors who each gave $50. At the event, each sponsor gave a small speech and presented the orphanage with a gift. The Orphans of Mari-El Fund participated as a sponsor and also donated $150 of school supplies. Warm House, located in the city of Yoshkar-Ola, Russia, was created to fulfill the need of an orphan receiving center. Children from age 5 up that are entering the Orphanage System are brought here, acclimated, evaluated, and brought up to date with medical requirements. They are then placed in one of the 27 Children's Homes ( Detski Dom) located in the Mari-El Republic. Average length of stay here is 6 to 12 months. Population of this orphanage averages 60-80 children at any given time.
